A bit of a shorter one this week :)
Wednesday. I had probably the worst day of my mission so far! We just slacked off and weren't very effective at all. Then when we got back to the apartment that night I sat down and just felt terrible. I wasted most of a day of dendo time!
On Friday we had new missionary interviews and training. So we went for the two hour train ride into Tokyo for the 3rd time in a week! The interview was awesome got to get some great advice and felt that the mission president had a genuine care for me. We then went into some training which was nice but the best part was when all the new missionary's went on splits for half an hour with some of the Tokyo missionaries while our trainers had a training. I was paired up with Jensen Choro and as we went out side to head out dendoing we walked past president budge and so we asked him to come with us as a trio and so he did! So I went out dendoing with the mission president! That was so cool!!!!! He was like a meerkat! He would look left right up down everywhere then spot someone across the street and be like let's go get him! We sprint across the street and talk to him then after that he sees someone on a bike going past and chases him down! Talks to him invites him to the Christmas party on saturday and gave him a little pamphlet. He was insane! There wasn't someone within 100 meters of us that we didn't talk to. He saw someone walking down the steps of an apartment building 50 meters away and so he says I'll get him you guys go this way! Then sprints off! We probably contacted and invited at least 30 people in that half hour! President budge also talked to this guy that instantly told him to go away and leave the country he also said he hates Christians and all this stuff and somehow president budge turned it around taught a lesson about Jesus Christs life and invited him to church. Although I doubt he will come that was crazy to see someone get turned around so quickly! It helps that president budge is fluent but yeah! So cool! Everyone was so jealous that I got to go out dendoing with president budge!! After that me and henderson had 26 meaningful contacts on the way home! Meaning we taught and invited 26 people in the next 2 hours on the train! President budge lit my dendo Fire!
Saturday. We had a nativity play set up by us missionaries and our Eikaiwa students came and a few investigators and they brought thier friends so that was cool! We got some of the kids to join in as shepherds and wise men! They were so adorable! We wrapped up a football in a hand towel for the baby Jesus cause we had nothing else! Haha half the costumes were made out of towels or torn pants hahaha it was so fun!
My bike had ice on it again this morning. The seat was completely covered so I stood up the whole way to church! Man it's getting cold. The northern parts of our mission have over a foot of snow sometimes the north part of our mission gets 40 ft! Takashi came to church! This made my week! Yay!!! It was sooo cool that he could come. He had to miss basketball practice and it cost him $20 to get here by train! We also had the primary program!!!!! It was sooo cute and adorable! Japanese kids are so cute!!!! They sung heaps of primary songs and they were so loud! They only had like 6 kids but they sung louder than any primary program group of kids I have heard!
We also had a member of the 70 in our branch for Sunday! So that was kinda cool! He actually grew up in our branch! He is going to be "touring" our mission and giving talks at zone conferences.
Today we needed 8 lessons to reach the standards of excellence and our goals for the week and we did it I have no idea how but we broke hendersons record for lessons taught in a day! Prayer is great! I love it!
After church we went to this big statue tower thing with takashi and took some photos. That was pretty cool! Takashi also said he liked church and wants to come next week! Yay!!!! January 11 here we come!!!!!!
10 days til Christmas!!!!!! Wow it goes so fast! That means it's only 18 days until my birthday! On the 2nd of January, which is my birthday the whole mission is getting together for something, some big activity. So that will be cool!
Today is transfer calls! I think I'm staying with henderson! But who knows!
