Well it's transfer week!!!! Guess if I'm staying or if I'm going and where I'm going! The answer may or may not be at the bottom of this email. (No scrolling and cheating!)
This week we had some awesome lessons with some of our amazing investigators and set a baptismal date with one who is Chinese. That is for June 21 so that's pretty awesome.
This week we had an appointment with someone called itou she is super busy and super golden. But just before our lesson she called and said she can't do it because she is sick so we called bishop and brought some soup for her and cause we told bishop that we were just going to say hi and give it to her after we gave it to her she said please come in and bishop was like no no we don't want to intrude and was very insistent about not taking her time so we didn't get to teach her but we got her to go to church! Shen she came to church she made 3 really good friends so it is looking very good!!!! She is super cool and wants to come next week too! She left us $10 in the fruits basket so we will use that next time she is sick or something as she gets sick a lot.
We also had another 3 investigators come to church, 1 of which was also his first time! We had 2 people there for their first time! It was a great Sunday!
On Saturday in my last area which is a 5 and a half hour train ride away was the baptism for my good friend takashi!!!! I taught him for 2 transfers and he is now a member!!!!!! So on Saturday we got on a train at 8:45 arrived at the baptism at 3 had the baptism then got on a train at 4:30 and got back to the apartment at 10:20 because there was a suicide that made our trains way late. So all in all we spent 11 hours on the train on Saturday! Talked to hundreds and hundreds of people!
The baptism was really cool! There wasn't a big turn out but a few investigators and a few members from the small branch came and it was in the ocean!!!! The place looked exactly the same as "the other side of heaven" movie baptism. It was so amazing to see him and how happy he was to be able to make this promise with God. He is going to be a leader in the church some day and is already preparing for a mission. He has no idea how he is going to pay for it but he wants to help people experience the same joy he does! He is the most incredible 16 year old ever!!!!! Photos attached if I don't forget!!!!
Today we got our transfer calls! And so anyone that guessed I was going to transfer to Abiko and would be opening a new area would be correct!!!!! Wooohooooo I'm so sad to be leaving but I'm off to Abiko and am ready to do a lot of finding! When I get there there will be no investigators at all I will be the first missionary in this area :0 crazy right!!!! Please pray that we will be able to build a teaching pool quickly and be able to find people who desire the greater peace and joy the gospel brings and are willing to work for it! My new companions name is elder turley I don't know anything about him other than he has gone home and come back twice for knee problems. So that's a good sign of a hard diligent worker!!!
