Bapppppppp baaaaappp baptism!!!!! Yay! And also next p day is transfer calls!!! Arrgggh scary!!!!
Well this week was a day shorter cause of the temple Pday.
So on Wednesday we went to tateyama! It was really cool, we met up with Takashi went out to dinner together and had pizza and Sunday's and some other stuff, japanese pizzas are so weird, they put corn on them, like all japanese pizzas haha. But anyway! We ate heaps then had a lesson, we went through all of lesson three and he loved all of it, this is the second time he has been taught it according to area book but looking at the entry in area book it looked like a sketchy lesson haha so we redone it he loved it. At the end we tried to set a baptismal date but he said he wasn't ready to set a date yet. Not cause he doesn't want to but he really wants to get baptised but he really doesn't want to break a promise with God so he wants to make sure he can keep the promise to always remember jesus and follow his example. He wants to learn more and make sure he can do it, he is so amazing :) we will lock in a baptismal date soon on a day he wants, he
The branch presidents daughter is now on her mission, she survived the MTC! She is serving in Elder kondos home Ward! How crazy is that! My companion is serving in her Ward and he is serving in his home Ward!!!! Crazy!!!! coincidence? I think not!
And moreover The Australian family that came to our Ward for their grand dad who died it turns out that Pati imalu lives with them! For those who don't know Pati imalu, he served in my Ward for a long time, he also was a big factor in me coming back to church, and also a big factor in me going on a mission! He has been living with thier family since he got home from his mission!!! So not only is elder Evans serving in his Ward but elder imalu lives with them!!!! There are no coincidences, Just failures to see the hand of God in our lives!
After the funeral he came up to me handed me his phone and said its for you! I was like what!!!! So I took the phone and it was elder imalu!!!! Wow so cool!!!!! Only got a few minutes but it was awesome to be able to talk to someone who had such a big impact for good on my life!!!!
So this Saturday we had the しのぶ会 (funeral), over 100 people came!!! It was so packed in our small little apartment church!!!! It was an amazing ceremony! I'm glad he got a good turn out, he really is the sweetest old man! After the funeral we gave out all of the book of Mormons we had (10) and gave out all of the liahonas we had (30)! Got to talk to heaps of people about eternal families and the plan of salvation...in japanese.... So cool!
BAPTISM BAP BAP BAPPPY BAPPY BAPTISM!!!!!
Yeah!!!!! I have been waiting for this for 2 transfers!!!! There have been more miricales with isozaki that you could ever imagine, sorry I didn't tell you a lot about him in earlier emails! Well isozaki is 45 and he is in some way mentally handicapped but so amazing!!!
So on Sunday we had the baptismal interview for isozaki kyodai! He passed!!!! He had been friends with missionaries and coming to church and been receiving lessons for over 2 years! Less than 8 weeks ago he could not tell you who jesus was what the word of wisdom is or any doctrine at all! But through hundreds of prayers hard work on our part and his, he has had a miraculous turn around he can now with confidence tell you who christ is what the word of wisdom is and lots of other things, he had a big problem with coffee and he overcame it and hasn't drunk it for 2 weeks!!! It took 10 lessons to get him to be able to get him to be able to tell us jesus is gods son, we would say maybe 6 sentences of who jesus is and he would just nod then we would ask him who jesus is and he couldn't do it. in the last 8 weeks he has been blessed so much! He now knows so much more doctorine than we thaught he could learn in 5 years!!! His speech has improved so much! His prayers are scincere and he truly knows God exists and loves the church and knows it's true! He is amazing!!!! The other elders have been meeting with him nearly everyday, he really reminds me of one of the people my dad used to work with. I love isozaki so much!!! He has such a amazing sparkle in his eye when ever he feels the spirit you can see it radiating from him, the best way to describe it is he is a spirit thermometer!
So he passed the baptismal interview and is learning so much! He has such a great desire to get baptised!!!! He is amazing!!!! Baptism will be on the 1/2/2015 please come!!!! Hahahaha if you can afford the plane ticket ;)
Ahhhh such an awesome way to end the week!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sure there was lots of other stuff that happened this week but I can't remember them exactly right now :) 愛してるよ
