Woohooo japan is amazing!!!!
Monday was a good Pday!!!! We went shopping it turns out this area is way more expensive! We spent way more money and got heaps less food! Haha diet here I come! So we basically studied for 2 and a half hours, went shopping, emailed, then took naps! I love naps! After that we went to sakamotos house with Kazuki we ate KFC and set baptismal dates for both of them!!!!
On Tuesday we got to do some service for a member who has just started coming back to church! She is so amazing, she teaches English and is fluent in English and Japanese, she has 2 kids and they are so cute! One is 4 and one is still a really young baby. The one that is 4 is fluent in English and Japanese, like you can talk to him in either! So cool, I wish I could speak 2 languages when I was 4! We then went and visited some less actives with bishop and found one lady who said she would come to church on Sunday! :)
Wednesday we had English class which is always a blast, the other elders Chinese friend came and after Eikaiwa he was talking and was like yeah I love Jesus I want to join the church how do I join! Which was crazy cool!!! They have now had 2 lessons with him and he still seems keen :)
Something I am learning from being in the Tokyo mission is missionaries aren't just being sent to more and more places but God is gathering his elect to major cities, he is bringing them in into areas where they can meet the missionaries, there are hundreds of examples of prepared people, 100 % just ready to give up everything to follow Jesus that move to Tokyo and if they stayed in the country they were in, they wouldn't of had the gospel! So missionaries are getting sent to all corners of the globe and God is bringing his elect to the areas we serve!!!!! Way cool! Another cool example is there was this guy
found by my district leader last week, he is from some middle eastern country where they don't have the gospel, he somehow found a bible read it, knew it was true and so he baptized himself in his backyard because he wanted to follow christ he knew it wasn't the proper waybut he wanted to try his best to follow Jesus, the missionaries have now taught him about Authority and the Book of Mormon, he has a fiery testimony of the Book of Mormon and knows it's true he is so golden, he is gonna be baptized in no time. Tonnes of miricales!!!!
Wednesday during lunch time, I found the old paper area books and DCS reports and stuff, I was looking at records back to 1978!!!! And wow is the hastening of the work occurring right now!!! The increase in baptisms, the increase in investigators, the rate that the work is hastening is actually incredible! Until I started looking at all these records I really couldn't beleive the work was hastening, but wow!!! " for behold the field is white all ready to harvest!" The seeds have been planted thanks to all the missionaries and members before me! That's something I am working on improving, making sure to always try
and plant a good seed in people's hearts, don't just switch off when they say I'm buddist and I like drinking a gallon of alcohol a day, I would never joint a Christian church they are too expensive.
On Thursday our investigator invited us over to teach him and his fiancé!!!! That was so cool! He wants her to learn about this church cause he knows it is true, he wants to be an eternal family! He is amazing! He then the next day invited us over to teach him and his little sister, how cool is that!!! He is incredible, he has felt the change the gospel has brought into his life he loves it and wants to share it!
On We had about 20 minutes left before we had to be home, so we decided to go house one apartment building, we call this video game dendo cause it was a lock out apartment, there is just a little speaker box downstairs and so you type in the room number then press call, then go if they don't pick up you call the next apartment, if they pick up and don't want to talk or whatever they hang up you just type in another one, haha it's just like a game, except with eternal rewards! You have as many lives as there are apartments, so we were doing this for a while, I took floor 1 then my companion floor 2 then
I took floor 3 and then on floor three this lady picked up and after I had introduced myself she said sumimasen which means basically " excuse me for being rude" (they say it all the time)snd then she just went dead quiet, I thaught she had hung up so I was about to cal the next house and my companion was like wait I think she is still there, so I continued to introduce our message of eternal families. I gave a quick 2 minute makes sage and then asked her if it is okay for us to come to her appartment and share more and she said yes?!?!?! I was like wait what! She actually let us in?!?! Does she realize she
accidentally pressed the open door button? This was the first time I had been let into a lock out building! She is actually really cool she said she used to take lessons 30 years ago, from some sister missionaries, she also remembers getting a priesthood blessing 30 years ago!!! She is way cool!!! We set up an appointment to meet again and she was super keen but unfortunately got sick or something.
That is something else I have learnt on my mission satan is real, he doesn't want our investigators to progress, something always comes up! Always!!!! Grrrr hating satan!!!! Well hate is a strong word maybe more dislike with a passion! Hahaha
Saturday was a great day, we were riding as fast as we could to get on time for appointments!!! We had 6 appointments and 1 fell through so we taught 5 really solid lessons! It was a great day!!! If you told a missionary in Japan 20 years ago that you taught 5 legit lessons inone day they wouldn't believe you, especially seeing we only had from 12:00-8 to dendo. So much fun :)
Sunday, we had two people at church, Sakamoto came for 45 minutes then had to leave for something random, which we later found out it was cause he had an argument with his girlfriend :( he is doing really well though! He has an amazing desire to become a better person!!!! He is incredible!!!!!
We also had someone we met on Friday come to church, were still not sure why he wants to learn, he says he really wants to be a missionary but we think that is cause he wants to get out of Japan, so we will see how it goes find out what his real desire is, he is from Nepal and says he loves Jesus!
Lots of other stuff happened this week, times of miricales amazing stuff but I just never have time, I wish I could carry around a camera and just record everything, but I can't, but Japan is amazing I love it I'm learning so much and I am loving helping other people!!!! Woohooo!!!! Ugh I love it!!!! See you all in 19 months wow 5 months have gone past already!!!! It goes so fast!!!!
Bye bye love elder king!!
