Well this week was good.... But it sucked!!!! But it was good.... I'm sure you will understand once you read....
Monday was a great Pday, we had a soccer activity at a big indoor gym, ukari and her kids finally are back! They went out of town since about a week before Christmas and only just got back on Monday. I swear I was having withdrawal symptoms. Them girls are so cute and so fun! They remind me of my little sister a lot! They are so full of energy and can run circles around you for hours. It's gonna suck when I transfer :( it will be so sad! I love these girls there amazing! They are the little half angel half devil type they look all innocent then two seconds later your missing a shoe and you just see this blur running off into the distance. Haha :,)
Tuesday was our best friend and hopefully soon to be baptised takashi!!!! He is so freaking amazing! So Tuesday we went for our trip to tateyama to teach Eikaiwa and we bought him a basketball, heaps of candy, a pack of Tim tams, and a little kangaroo and koala key ring and a cake! (Cake! Everybody loves cake, cake has layers!) so we went down to tateyama and then half way through Eikaiwa pulled out the cake and presents :) he was sooo happy and overwhelmed!!! Because of that he later told us it was the best birthday he had ever had! That made me slightly sad but happy that I could make it a special day for him :,)
Wednesday, this is where our week started to go down hill. We messaged one of our investigators to set up an appointment and then they dropped us :/ we really thought she was progressing. So the rest of that day was spent finding with no success and then Eikaiwa which is always fun :)
Thursday we visited one of our investigators who has a mental disability. The mum greeted us at the door super happy and excited to see us. We then went inside and she was like I'll get you a drink. We are like okay :) cool :). She then says you guys don't drink coffee or tea or alcohol right? We're like yeah water would be great! We sit down in the entrance room at that table then she invites us into the dining room where the dad is as well. Kondo Choro has a conversation with the mum and I talked with our investigator. After about 10 minutes the mum pools two cups of tea and hands them too us we reply what's this. She tells us it's tea. Kondo Choro in the most polite Japanese I have heard some one speak says we don't drink tea and co we can't drink this and we both are very apologetic then the dad starts shouting at us swearing at us calling us all sorts of horrible things. Tells Kondo Choro he needs to learn how to speak politely and just starts going of his nut! I swear he was gonna try starting a brawl! He told us not to come back and yeah... So that was a great day! So we can't meet him again unless he comes to church.... Pretty much another investigator "dropped" :/ we also had a ping pong activity that night.
In the last 2 weeks we have had every single one of our investigators drop us except for takashi! We started with 7 investigators :/ welcome to Japan :/.....
Friday...hmmm well Friday we went out trying to find just one new investigator that's all we needed just one :/ we spent probably over 6 hours pure Streeting and housing and calling old investigators and potential investigators. Not even a hint of someone wanting to talk about church stuff :,( what a terrible day..... Then we had Eikaiwa
Saturday, we had to go to a stake fireside it was all about missionary work. Our mission president was there and gave an awesome talk/interactive thingy haha. It was good. We took the train there and net Miyazaki kyodai when we were there so he offered to take us back. Saved us $10 but took us an extra 45 mins to get home. She then had a music night and watched the testaments (in Japanese)
I wonder if people forget that sort of thing when reading my emails, every sacrament meeting, every stake fireside, finding situation, every movie, it's all in Japanese.... Haha it's crazy!!!
Sunday I woke up with a crazy headache!!! And so we didn't even go to church, but takashi did :) yeah!!! Then at 2:00 we get a knock on our apartment door, guess who it is?!?! Takashi!!!! He brought me some cool packs for my head! What the heck!!! He is so nice!!! He walked all the way to our apartment just to give me that. So then we walked to the chapel together and we played the guitar and then had a cool lesson. He asked lots of questions after which is awesome. :) he is soooo keen!!! Kinjin! (Golden)
Well this week were gonna be doing a lot of finding cause we don't have any investigators left except takashi :/
so there were a lot of ups and downs this week :/ hope next week is better....
Love to hear from you all soon :)
